Fall Is Around The Corner With Fabulous Decor Ideas #Fall #homedecor #crafting

I am not so sure we had a summer, it was so wet here in the NC foothills that I would call that a monsoon summer....lol. Now I am soooo ready for fall, crisp air, pumpkins, apples and the beautiful colors that signify the onset of the season. Here in NC we are blessed with mountains that seem to be painted by God's magnificent pallets of paint colors. The changing of the leaves is one of my favorite times to drive to the higher elevations and just stand in awe of His creation.
With the return of fall comes the excitement of dragging out my "fall boxes" from the garage. They are filled with various decor related to the autumn season. I also love to create more treasures to add to my autumn and holiday collections. A crafty addict that I am, I have already been perusing Pinterest for ideas. I will try to share some of my fave finds over the next few weeks if you can stand it...lol , I tend to get excited and ramble like now, lol.
Fabulous Fall Decor Ideas, I found on Pinterest and when I clicked the link, as you will do, I felt like a little girl in the candy shop, except I found a wealth of fall decorating ideas! Thank you so much The Cottage Market for compiling this list.

Out of all of those ideas, I think this one is my favorite since I love my animals outside too, and love to feed all my birds and squirrels.

Have a happy day~~

Gratitude Journaling ~ Go Ahead Say Thank You!

Being thankful is not just for November, it should be all year long, an attitude of gratitude and saying thank you and being thankful is a daily routine. There are so many things in our life that we can be thankful for, start teaching your children as babies to say thank you, to appreciate the smaller things of life and not always material things. They will grow into much more mature thankful adults that have an attitude of gratitude and not of selfish, me all the time. Show them the little things around you every day, and help them appreciate how small we are in contrast to the awesome world that God has created.  Thank you for reading :)

Have you ever made a Gratitude Tree? Sorta like an Avent calendar for "Thank you's" this will inspire your family to always be thankful for little things in life that they may never think about. This would even make a great gift for grandparents or teachers.

Go Here for print outs and further instruction:
http://www.oopseydaisyblog.com/2010/10/gratitude-tree-advent-calendar-with.html <---I love this little blog.

** At the start of the month, begin with a blank tree. Each day, take turns as a family mentioning something we are grateful for. As we do this, we will add a leaf onto the tree!

You can make your own gratitude tree for your family, too!

Possibilities are endless and you can make your tree design and cap designs however you like. I really like this idea.

If you wish, you can download your own set of leaves here.  I would love to see pictures if you make your own gratitude tree advent calendar!  You could even make a tree on your refrigerator and add leaf magnets every day during November.  **These leaves were made to fit my bottle caps, so you may have to resize these just a smidge smaller to fit clear glass pebbles.  Or just trim them up a bit!
Thank you to Oopsey Daisy for such a cute idea and cute little blog, visit her and share some blog love HERE

Have a fabulous weekend!

Happy Fall Ya'll

I have been dressing up my blog with some fun fall decor, pumpkins and scarecrows with fall colors. I love this time of the year and just had to change up the scene a bit. Thank you to my favorite background site "cutest blog on the block" for some awesome free fall backgrounds. I redid my header with Photoshop and my favorite field picture of the 3 amigo kiddos, a Sheri Allison Photography original shown below.
This has to be my favorite picture of all 3 kids, even though they have grown alot since then, it tells the tale of our household, big brother leading his girls thru their journey into adulthood and protecting them as a big brother would.  Good night blogger world.
